The inspiration of yesterday's electronica merged with a taste for something new, gives rise to 2010's breaktthrough recording artist: Dean V.  Over the past 5 years, V has cultivated a sound that is uniquely his own, while paying homage to the pioneers of electronic pop.  Influenced by the innovation of Giorgio Moroder and Kraftwerk, Voon collaborated with internationally acclaimed recording engineer and producer Mark Thibideau.  Thibideau is best known for his work with Substatik's Repair and has recently released his solo debut with Archipel Records entitled 'Left Behind'  Together, they have produced one of the most electrifying and creative works of 2010.  Embraced by lounge house dj's over the last year, the E.P. titled '8' is preparing for an international release date of August 8, 2010.  The lead single, 'Go Deep' is destined to be a lounge house electronic classic, reminiscent of early Human League, and Yaz while embracing the idea of creating something sonically distinctive and modern.


'8' is marked as Voon's official international debut release.    He has also worked behind the scenes, co-writing and co-producing for other recording artists.  This all embracing love for creativity and art allows for the songs that were written for the E.P. to speak musical and visual volumes.  The listener begins a sonic journey with a 3 note loop which leads to the opening title track.  Throughout the musical journey, the recurring theme of discovery and depth tie each song together.  The album ends with the same 3 notes, coaxing the listener to embrace the idea that there is no beginning or ending with the album; an audio representation of the number 8.
